What is a Wet Dream?

A wet dream is when someone ejaculates during sleep, or sperm discharge during sleep is known as a wet dream.

It can happen with or without a sex-related dream. Wet dreams are also know as nocturnal emissions.

It’s your body’s way to release excess semen out of your body and it is a completely natural process and there is nothing to worry about it.

Do Wet Dreams Count as a Relapse?

No, a wet dream does not count as a relapse.

A relapse is when you consciously watch porn or masturbate. In wet dreams, sperm comes out unconsciously out of your body, so it does not count as a relapse.

You don’t need to reset your nofap counter after a wet dream. You can just continue your nofap streak without a worry in your mind.

Frequency of Wet Dreams

How often should a wet dream happen? There’s no single answer to that question.

  2. Without a sex-related dream– In this, you don’t have any sexual dream at all. You wake up in the morning and find your undergarment wet.

What if You Don’t Get Wet Dreams At All?

This is also something that a lot of people fear about. They hear about everybody getting wet dreams, especially on a longer streak, but they don’t get any, no matter for how long they’re on nofap.

This is also completely fine and natural. Some people just don’t get any wet dreams, no matter how long they abstain from porn and masturbation.

2) Take a Cold Shower Before Going to Bed

Cold showers are instant urge killers and they help a lot in making nofap easier. You can hop into a cold shower for 2 minutes before going to bed at night. It’ll also reduce the chances of you getting a sex-related dream and having a wet dream.

3) Fix Your Diet

Unhealthy diets are one of the reasons behind getting wet dreams frequently.

Try minimizing the amount of junk food you consume. Limit the amount of meat you eat. Don’t consume meat more than once a week.

Give up or limit the amount of spicy foods you eat. Control the quantity of spices you put in your food. Spices are the worst food when it comes to nocturnal emissions.

Celibates, who practice a life of abstinence, don’t eat any meat, onion, spices, or garlic.
